Pontius Pilate was the Roman Leader in Jerusalem and he is the man who decided Jesus’ fate. He had everyone screaming at him telling him to crucify Jesus and he gave into peer pressure. His wife had a dream and woke up and told him not to kill Jesus.

He had given into peer pressure and is a great example of it. We can learn that not only it’s bad to give into peer pressure but sometimes it may seem like there is no other way. We can all learn from this and know that giving into peer pressure can lead to horrible consequences.

In the end Pontius pilate isn’t necessarily a bad person but it all came up to him and he ended up giving in. And it was technically Gods plan all along. So in the end he isn't really a good man but he isn’t bad either.

Strengths:

#Communication-I can contribute to groups and keep talking

#Ideas-I can think up ideas reasonably quickly

Weaknesses:

#Staying on task- If someone talks to me while i'm doing work I will start talking to them and won't be aware that i'm getting off task

#Sport-I'm not a very sporty person

Goals:

#Math- I would like to get better at my math so that high school won't be too hard for me

#writing skills- I love writing stories and I want to be able to write at level 4 without trying

How do I learn best:

#Being able to communicate with who i'm learning from (ask questions or clarify something)

#In a semicircle around who is teaching

What am I most looking forward to this year:

#Learning how to be a leader

#Having  the role of special character leader

#I want to be a director of movies-i'm always thinking up ideas.

Earth… 4581… It would be a happy place if it was full of any humanity at all. There are as many amounts of people safe in their homes as a sprinkle of salt into an already tasty soup.

There is evil in everyone. even you. And when the world breaks out in war... Who’s there to stop it from getting out? Who’s going to stop you from committing murders so that you can keep your field of view clean of anyone who will slow you down.

But even if you are safe in a bunker or have enough water or can scavenge food from others who need it. even if you're lucky enough to avoid one of the many diseases that kill thousands.even if killing is a minor thing that you don't need to get over because you're over it before you commit it.

you are not safe.

Goosebumps!

Night of the giant everything!

This episode of the very well written Goosebumps books is one you probably won’t forget. Steven is completely obsessed with magic. And he thinks that he’s the best at it. But eventually he gets a little carried away. When he’s practicing for the talent show with his friends Ava and Courtney he gets three eggs and is juggling them. But then with one slip of his hand they all go tumbling down on Ava. So like any normal person Ava and Courtney decide that they would mix up possibly poisonous mixes from science class… because… logic? But really is that ever a good idea? He could have died! But anyway Steven is doing his last act... Which just so happens to be drinking water while juggling. He starts juggling and Ava puts the cup against his lips and he starts gulping. A bitter taste fills his mouth. He starts choking and yells out he’s been poisoned. And Courtney and Ava run over to him and start… laughing? Seriously it says and I kid you not: I saw Courtney and Ava coming over to me. They were laughing and slapping each other high fives. So Steven runs home and his mum and dad aren’t home. So he thinks that brushing his teeth will help the taste to get out of his mouth. But he realizes that he has to stand on his tiptoes to reach the sink. And then he starts shrinking into his shoes.

But I can’t spoil the whole thing! So I defiantly recommend reading this book.

This Book is very interesting and shows how carless people can be and that actions have consequences.

So overall I give this book a 7/10

But don’t take my word for it go and enjoy it yourself!

Mechanics and machines

Humanity...we've come a long way. We've used our intellect so well. Yet we've barely scratched the surface of what we could accomplish. But here are some facts about what we have.  

A helping hand

These are some facts about machines that help humanity do exhausting and continuous work.  Did you know that modern day cranes are just later versions of Greek's work? They used ropes and wooden poles to lift up things like tree trunks.  Ever heard of a tunnel boring machine? No? Well I’m not blaming you because they spend all their time underground digging tunnels. And one of these actually dug the tunnel between France and England!  If you’re a kid and you’re like me when you think of bulldozers you think of destroying everything. But did you know that bulldozers are just adapted Holt farm tractors that were used to plough fields?

Transportation

These are some facts about machines that we use to transport ourselves.  Did you know that the first heavier than air flying machine was the Wright flyer made by the Wright brothers? It was powered by a small combustion engine that they made in their windmill.

The first ever floating machine was a hot air balloon. Created by the Montgolfier brothers it, was the first ever machine to stay in the air when it went up.
